What data we collect
On this website we only collect the data you enter yourself to sign up for our newsletter: first name, last name (optional) and email address.
The language you choose (NL, FR or EN) is remembered only in your own browser, on your own device. That setting is never sent to us and stays invisible to us.
This website does not use visitor statistics and does not place tracking cookies.
What we use your data for
We use your name and email address solely to send you our newsletter, for example to let you know when the new chicory-root season starts. We do not use your data for anything else and do not sell it to third parties.
Who processes your data
Our newsletter is sent through Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, part of Intuit Inc.), which acts as our processor and stores your data in order to send the newsletter. Mailchimp may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by law.
If you order chicory roots through our partner Hermie, that order runs entirely through Hermie's own webshop, which applies its own privacy policy.
If you click through to our Facebook or Instagram page, Meta's own terms and privacy policy apply from that point on.
How long we keep your data
We keep your name and email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, Mailchimp removes your data from our list.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a readable format. To have your data changed or deleted, contact info@lofloof.com.
You can also unsubscribe with one click at the bottom of every Mailchimp newsletter.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when we add a new feature to the website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
